Welcome to Weskus Helpers!
Who we are?
Weskus Helpers is a registered NPO (NPO number 158-930) active in the West Coast and helping those in our community who receive no financial help/aid and/ or that cannot survive on their SASSA grants alone.
What we do?
We have several projects to achieve this goal.
The Butterfly project – where we aim to make pre-loved evening wear and wedding gowns, suits and clothes available to the community for their special occasion.
A fully functional soup kitchen feeding approximately 600 people twice a week.
A charity shop to raise the funds we need to keep doing what we are doing.
We are proud to say that we have made a difference since we started out 10 years ago and how only grown from strength to strength. We have plenty of volunteers who donate their time to assist us.
At the moment, our soup kitchens feed approximately 600 people per week and this is solely from public donations and pledges.
We also provide bridal and matric ball services, because everybody deserves their special day!
In the future, we would love to be able to feed more, provide channels for basic education, and also to provide accommodation to struggling pensioners.
